Willy Toledo strikes back: Calls Beatriz Luengo "riffraff" and Yotuel "intellectually impaired."

Without holding back on insults ("fascist trash, intellectual cripple, little husband, worm, rabble"), the Spanish actor intensified his attack against artists and activists for the rights and freedoms of the Cuban people, expressing his disdain for them.

The Spanish actor and supporter of the Cuban regime, Willy Toledo, once again targeted the artist couple comprised of Spanish singer, producer, and actress Beatriz Luengo and her husband, Cuban musician and singer Yotuel Romero.

The feud between them began with a social media post by Toledo, in which he harshly criticized the couple following the premiere of the documentary Patria y Vida on Spanish television, an event that upset the actor due to the film's denunciation of the dictatorship and repression in Cuba.

"Between what he claims (all lies) and what he conceals (that his family in Cuba has disowned him for being a traitor), Yotuel is the epitome of a person who would sell his child for three coins. Or his people: he has been calling for years to tighten the blockade against those he says he defends," said Toledo last Thursday.

The actor's statements provoked pain and indignation in Beatriz, who, through her social media, responded to Toledo as a mother and activist for Cuba's freedom. Additionally, several Spanish and Cuban artists expressed their solidarity with the couple wronged by Toledo.

"It is outrageous that you would put my underage son in your mouth to insult my husband. The fact that you can say something as harsh as my husband ‘would sell him for three coins’ is appalling, and what’s worse is that the media in my country is echoing this. As a mother, I feel vulnerable and astounded that such a fool is being given a voice," Beatriz responded on X, also informing him that she had filed a lawsuit against him.

Without holding back, the champion of the Cuban dictatorship responded to Beatriz on Saturday via the same medium, with a tweet in which he dismissed and mocked the announcement of the legal actions taken by Beatriz.

"Your threats may serve you among the fascist garbage that you and your intellectually impaired husband surround yourselves with in Miami. With me, you’ve hit a nerve. It will be a pleasure to tell you to your face (you and that worm Yotuel) the disgust I feel for lowlifes like you," Toledo replied, without addressing Beatriz's accusations of mentioning her underage son in her hateful message.

Without holding back on insults ("fascist trash, intellectual cripple, little husband, worm, riffraff"), the Spanish actor intensified his attack against artists and activists advocating for the rights and freedoms of the Cuban people, expressing his disdain for both them and the justice system in this case.

This is not the first time Toledo has resorted to insulting Cubans who do not share the totalitarian regime of Havana.

In August 2016, his "reflection" regarding the silver medal won by the Cuban-born (naturalized Spanish) hurdler Orlando Ortega at the Rio Olympics received significant attention, and he also referred to him as a "worm."

After finishing his 110-meter hurdles race, the athlete looked for a flag from his host country to celebrate the result. Although he was offered a Cuban flag, he went on without it: “I didn’t see any Spanish flags in the stadium,” he later explained to a journalist during an interview.

Finally, they offered him a Spanish flag, and with it, he appeared before the press at the Brazilian Olympic stadium, happy and excited. Toledo did not approve of his decision and directed his criticism towards Ortega.

"He's a 'worm,' but also a pitiable man, so I don't wish him any of the misfortunes that this miserable Spain and its wretched 'authorities' will bring upon him once he stops winning medals. Forget that Rome doesn’t pay traitors, something every Cuban should always keep in mind," said Toledo about the Cuban-Spanish athlete.

His words triggered an avalanche of comments from users who criticized the Spaniard for his ignorance of the reality in Cuba and the virulence of his remarks, always driven by his ideological fanaticism and his hatred for Cubans who oppose the dictatorship. Toledo expressed feeling lynched.
