Cuban man goes missing in the U.S. while fishing: His family urgently seeks help

Ernesto Willian Muñiz Leyva, originally from Cárdenas, Matanzas, and residing in the United States, disappeared last Tuesday, November 12, at noon while fishing with a friend. Since then, his family, without any news about his whereabouts, has been enduring a distressing search for information that could help locate him.

Her sister, Maidolys Hernández, posted on Facebook about her disappearance this Wednesday, expressing the family's deep anguish and their tireless efforts to obtain answers.

Additionally, he stated that despite reaching out to several people in an attempt to locate his brother, they have not yet received any concrete information that would clarify what happened.

The young woman requested the community's assistance in obtaining any information that could be crucial in the search for Ernesto Muñiz, providing the number 53120055 to receive details about his whereabouts.

Hernández did not indicate his brother's place of residence nor the exact location where he went fishing.

The father of the missing young man also turned to Facebook to make a desperate plea for assistance in finding his son.

In his post, he specifically asked for support from his contacts in the United States, explaining that since Tuesday, November 12, when his son went fishing with a friend, there has been no news of him.

He reported that his son's sister, who resides in Tampa, Florida, informed the authorities and contacted the Coast Guard, but so far she has not received any concrete responses.

He mentioned that, according to what he was told, "only one congressman can access that information: Carlos Jiménez or María Elvira Salazar." Therefore, he appealed to anyone who could contact these representatives or has access to the coast guard to provide him with information.

"The worst thing in life is this helplessness I feel in this difficult moment, not knowing anything about my son," she wrote, thanking in advance anyone who could help her locate him. "I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life," she concluded.

Neither the father nor the sister of the missing Cuban has mentioned details about the friend who accompanied Muñiz on the fishing trip, nor whether he provided any information related to his disappearance.

In Matanzas, the young Cuban Jesus David Corcho Pérez, 22 years old and a resident of Jovellanos, is still reported missing. According to family and friends, Jesus David has not been seen since the afternoon of last Sunday when he left his home around 4:00 p.m. riding his purple motorbike.

A Cuban woman with intellectual disabilities, residing in Jatibonico, Sancti Spíritus, is also missing, having been away from her home for over a month. Her family, desperate for her return, has turned to social media in an effort to locate her and gather any information that may help in finding her.
