The wife of Damián Valdez speaks out after images of El Taiger's murder were leaked

Ana María Pérez, partner of Damián Valdez-Galloso, spoke out following the leak of new videos related to the crime involving Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger.

In an audio released by the YouTuber Paparazzi Cubano, Ana María Pérez emphatically denied being the person who appears in the video and rejected any involvement in the events.

"I am being accused of having helped him, that I am the person in the video; I am clarifying that it is not me," she stated.

The woman also stated that she is committed to seeking justice, but noted that due to legal restrictions, she cannot provide further details.

"I don’t know what happened; when someone is in prison, the first thing a lawyer tells you is, ‘Don’t talk about the case.’ I also want justice to be served. If they find him guilty, he has to pay for it," she emphasized.

Ana María Pérez concluded her statement by asking that her words not be misinterpreted and reiterating her position: "I am simply not saying that they should forgive him; do not change my words or misinterpret them."

The homicide case has shocked the Cuban community in Miami, especially following the release of the images of El Taiger's murder.

According to previous reports, the reggaeton artist was attacked at the entrance of a residence under circumstances that are still being investigated. Authorities have emphasized the importance of the images to clarify the events.

In recent statements, the Miami police chief stated that the videos are key to understanding the sequence of events that are still under investigation.

Damián Valdez-Galloso did not attend the court appearance on November 21 and pleaded not guilty through his attorney.

The circulation of the crime videos has caused dismay among Cubans, both on and off the island. Many have expressed their outrage at the graphic nature of the footage and have called for justice for the late and beloved urban singer.
