The Inspection Directorate in Pinar del Río, Cuba, imposed a fine of 16,000 pesos on a self-employed worker after discovering the sale of non-imported eggs at a price of 3,000 CUP per carton.

According to information provided by the Alejandro Noticias Cuba page on the social network Facebook, the action took place on 3rd B Street in the Hermanos Cruz neighborhood, following reports and complaints from the community.

According to the authorities, the eggs came from wholesale sales within the gastronomy network, which constitutes a violation of existing regulations. As a result, Decree Law 91, Article 12 was applied to regulate these illegal practices in commerce.
