"I came to say goodbye and have a coffee and a lemonade, but they don't have lemons, so I couldn't get the lemonade. Instead, I ordered a bottle of water... THEY DON'T HAVE WATER. Definitely, Santiago de Cuba is not suitable for coming to enjoy a few days," Mora posted.

The incident didn't end there. In another post, the Spanish tourist also reported the discrepancy between the hotel menu and the available products.

"In this photograph, there are two decorative objects: the little flower and the QR code that leads you to a fake menu, as what is shown in this letter from the Casa Granda hotel does not exist," he explained, including an image of the decorative QR code.

Mora's complaints are evidence of the decline in tourist service conditions in Santiago de Cuba, a widespread crisis throughout the country.

The Casa Granda Hotel, located in the heart of Santiago de Cuba, has been one of the city's landmark tourist attractions for many years.

Tourism in Cuba, one of the country's main sources of income, faces significant challenges due to structural issues and shortcomings in the services provided to foreign visitors.

One of the most critical aspects is the crisis in the healthcare system, which affects not only local residents but also tourists. Recent reports highlight the lack of essential medications and the deplorable conditions of hospitals, leading to traumatic experiences, such as that of a Canadian tourist who was admitted to a hospital without electricity or proper equipment.

On the other hand, tourists face frustrations when trying to rent vehicles on the island. Despite the high costs, which exceed 100 dollars per day, the rental cars are in deplorable condition, with poor maintenance and makeshift repairs. These situations highlight a lack of attention to minimum quality and safety standards, leading to criticism and disappointment among visitors.

Additionally, the country's energy crisis has had a profound impact on the experience of tourists. A nationwide blackout caught many visitors by surprise, including Jonathon Renko, a Canadian tourist who recounted how the lack of electricity affected every aspect of his stay, from processes at the airport to basic conditions in hotels and restaurants.
