Mijail Mulkay is a Cuban actor in theater, film, and television, the son of the famous and renowned Cuban actor Iván Mulkay. Mijail was born in Havana, Cuba, on April 20, 1974. He graduated as an actor and theater director from the Higher Institute of Art.
Mulkay has been part of important Cuban theater companies such as Teatro Estudio, Grupo Irrumpe, and El Público. However, it has been in film and television where his popularity has grown within the island, participating in several Cuban telenovelas and movies. Among them are "Entre mamparas" (1996), "Tierra brava" (1997), which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award in television granted by UNEAC, and "Si me pudieras querer" (1999), telenovelas in which Mulkay worked during his time as an actor in Cuba.
In cinema, Cubans remember him in titles such as Aunque estés lejos (2003), Entre ciclones (2003), Hacerse el sueco (2001), Miradas (2001), Lista de espera, and Perfecto amor equivocado, among others.
In 1995, he married fellow Cuban actress Jacqueline Arenal, with whom he separated 10 years later and has a daughter, Camila Bordon Arenal.
It was precisely thanks to a role that his then-wife landed in Colombia to work in the telenovela Los Reyes in 2005 that he settled in the South American country, where he continued his meteoric career as an actor, appearing in around thirty television programs including telenovelas, series, and miniseries. He has also participated in several feature films.
In 2005, he married a renowned Colombian writer and actress, Alina Lozano, with whom he had his second child Samuel Bordón Lozano.
The actor currently resides in Miami with his wife Olga Thomas, a Cuban-American singer who performs in various shows on Hispanic television produced in Miami.
