Jorge Rubén Cortada Soto, a model and actor, was born on October 6, 1984, in the Isle of Youth, Cuba.
He completed his pre-university studies at the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Vocational School. In 2003, he entered the José Antonio Echeverría Polytechnic Institute (CUJAE) to study Automatic Engineering, but he did not finish his university education as he emigrated to Spain to pursue modeling. A sports enthusiast, he was a federated tennis player until the age of 15 and also practiced boxing.
He began his career as an actor in theater in Cuba, under the direction of Humberto Rodríguez.
However, it is not until he makes the leap to television that he begins to gain recognition. His first job on the small screen was for a series on Antena 3: Bandolera (2011). He then went on to El tiempo entre costuras (2013) and the more successful El Príncipe (2014-2016), where he played the leading role.
She has worked as a model for Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Verino, Guess, El Corte Inglés, Calzedonia, and Custo, among others.
Selected in 2007 by the readers of Hola magazine as the best male model of the year.
He is married to the Cuban model Susana Pino, with whom he has a daughter.
He currently resides in Spain.
