The winner of theMiss Grand International 2018Clara Sosa, representative of Paraguay, fainted on stage when she heard the presenter announcing that she was the winner of the contest.
There were only two finalists left among all the contestants at the event held in the Burmese city of Yangon, Clara Sosa and Meenakshi Chaudhary Kumar, representative of India.
What no one expected was that at the moment the announcer announced the award, Sosa collapsed to the ground.
The other finalist tried to shake her hand and help her, but she couldn't hold the weight.
Some media have reported that Sosa had previously said that he might need a doctor because he felt like he was going to have a heart attack if he won.
Almost immediately after what happened, the Paraguayan woman sat up, through tears, and gave thanks and smiled at the cameras.
The Miss Grand International is a female beauty contest that aims to promote peace, judging the overall beauty, elegance, personality, bearing, pose, communication and security of candidates from different countries.
When Sosa was asked in an interview which country she would visit to campaign to end wars and violence, she said she would "strategically" choose to visit President Donald Trump "because the United States is an example for other countries. So my first message to him would be: please be an example of peace, love and tolerance."
In the contestCuban Gladys Carredeguas participated, who showed off his country and its Caribbean traditions.
