Firefighters responded to extinguish a fire caused by the explosion of an electric motorcycle this Wednesday in a building in Vedado, Havana.
The incident occurred on the second floor of a building located on 17th Street, near the corner with J, reported user Vismark Díaz Castillo on his account on Facebook.
Members of the 5th and 19th teams of the Fire Department arrived at the scene and controlled the fire, which did not cause any human casualties, according to witnesses in the report.
In the images, smoke is seen coming from a door that leads to the balcony on the second floor of the building. As of the publication of this note, the extent of the damage caused by the fire to the structure is unknown.

Fires involving motorcycles and electric tricycles due to battery explosions have become very common in Cuba, some of which have ended fatally.
In May of last year, a fire caused alarm in a neighborhood of the city of Las Tunas, when an electric tricycle caught fire inside a home, resulting in significant material damage.
The explosion of a motorcycle also caused a fire in a house in the Garrido neighborhood, in Camagüey, in April.
In Santiago de Cuba, two people managed to save their lives by jumping from the second floor of a house that caught fire after a motorcycle battery exploded, but they lost all their belongings.
The increase in fires related to electric motorcycles in Cuba raises concerns for both the public and authorities, who attribute such incidents to the improper use of the equipment by citizens, although this is also influenced by the limited availability of spare parts.
Meanwhile, this Tuesday, two motorcycles were also involved in separate accidents, but they were traffic-related. In distinct events recorded on Calzada de Vento, in the Cuban capital, two motorcycles were struck by cars, with no confirmed injuries reported.
