Worrying trend of motorcycle accidents in Havana

These incidents add to a troubling series of recent accidents in the capital. On May 6, two motorcycles collided violently on a busy avenue in Havana, leaving at least one person injured.

Days earlier, on May 1, a 20-year-old woman passed away after an accident between a motorcycle and a car on the Calabazar bridge. In March, a police patrol crashed into two motorcycles in a dramatic multiple-vehicle accident.

These incidents highlight the increasing vulnerability of motorcyclists and the urgent need to reinforce road safety in the capital.
