WASHINGTON, July 25 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Tuesday once again criticized the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential elections, and criticized his attorney general (Jeff Sessions) for not investigating his Democratic rival more in the electoral race.
In addition, the president pointed to Ukraine's role in the elections, although he did not provide any evidence of his claim.
In a pair of posts on Twitter, the president stated early Tuesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had adopted "a very weak position" towards former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Trump also cited the "Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump campaign, quietly working to boost Clinton."
