Following the Cubatonazo 2018, the Cuban musician Manolin Gonzalez has unleashed a series of criticisms and provocations towards Cuban reggaeton artists even inviting them to a heads-up match between all of them against him "so they can see what music is and what talent is... and what a real artist is... and without saying a single bad word."

He Salsa Doctor challenge also to Gente de Zona, who are the most international exponents of the urban genre in Cuba, but there has been no response.

A few hours ago, Manolín used his official Facebook account again to explain "both sides of the coin" regarding this reggaeton phenomenon, as he claims to be perplexed by the debate sparked by his previous publications in which so many defend the mentioned genre.

In his writing, the artist not only once again highlights that reggaeton is a genre of and for ignorant people, but he goes further and accuses "the corrupt people on the radio" for the rise that this type of music has taken.

"There are many true musicians without work, I know very good graduated musicians who are without work, it is as if the healers left the great doctors without jobs," said Manolín.

The Doctor also touched on the topic of his proposed duel against the reggaeton players: "many have responded with a fright that astonishes me, as if they felt that something was attacking them, as if they felt that they wanted to discover them or wanted to dethrone them, interesting."

He Cubatonazo It celebrated its second edition last Wednesday and is an initiative of the Ritmo 95.7 FM Cubatón y Más radio station in Miami. This year the invited artists were Gente de Zona, Jacob Forever, El Chacal, El Micha, Jakarta, Lenier Mesa, Osmani García, Diván, Yulien Oviedo, Boni y Kelly, El Chulo, Rey Chávez and Charanga Habanera.
