The official platform Cubadebate He asked “why go for socialism?” and the Cubans did not take long to respond, sometimes with irony, sarcasm and sarcasm, to the question posed.
This Friday, the official website announced on his Facebook page a new chapter of the podcast Cubadebate, with the presence of two professors from the University of Havana, who asks "why opt for socialism", in a world "where the capitalist system prevails and where imperialism, which is its most advanced phase, runs rampant ”.
Cubans have not waited to listen to the chapter to share their impressions about the type of system in which they supposedly live.
“I don't understand, after 63 years. If in a country they know that the system does not work, for example Poland, Czechoslovakia and others, they change it. But here in Cuba the communist leaders do not want the people and country to be prosperous, only they live as capitalists. No more lies, freedom,” demanded one user.
Another user referred ironically to the fact that Cubans do not have the possibility of choosing which system to live in.
“Here there is no commitment to Socialism, it is implemented by force,” he ironized.
One of the commentators on the post Cubadebate, took with humor the almost surreal circumstance that one of the professors invited to the podcast on this topic responded to the name of Marxlenin Pérez Valdés, a mixture of the surname of the German philosopher and the leader of the Russian Revolution.
“With that name I can't even read the article. MARXLENIN. Poor thing, marked to the cannon from the cradle,” he commented.
An Internet user, for his part, wondered if the Cuban economy actually responds to the characteristics of the socialist system.
“And this is socialism? Stores in MLC, salaries that do not last 3 days.... Military with double the salary of a doctor. Hunger, misery, lies... Please,” he wrote.
While, for another, socialism is in fact a failed system and the time for a change has arrived.
“It doesn't work that way. These people have suffered greatly from the causes of the socialist political economic system. It is time for the plebiscite and opening to the rule of law,” asked the forum member.
Many of the comments made in the post of Cubadebate, agree in pointing out that the elites of the Cuban government and their families do not live in that socialist equality that they proclaim.
“These carelata cultivating socialism, and living like capitalism and attacking the people like imperialism,” said one user.
“They prefer to bet on socialism, since this is the most modern and efficient tool to enslave a people by posing as the government as a Samaritan. These are not teachers, they are spokespersons for an ideology imposed by the one in charge. Life has shown that socialism is a vile evil and dirty deception that a leader can preach to a nation, and why? Because he who preaches it never practices it,” another attacked.
Last month, Cubadebate shared an article about inflation in the United States that raised indignation on the networks.
The text, which referred to how consumer prices in the United States reported their biggest increase in 16 years in March, was responded to by dozens of Cubans who have responded to the official website to not focus so much on the situation in other countries and to look more at the from Cuba.
“Cubans are dying of hunger and lack of medicine and these people spend time talking about the economy of the most powerful country in the world. They have to stop,” commented a user on that occasion.
