State Security keeps the woman under siege in her home in the city of Santa Clara.Cuban activist Saily González Velázquez, after learning that the young woman was invited by the United States government to participate in theSummit of the Americas, next June.

“Several police patrols surround my house today to prevent me from leaving. This is the only one that is visible, but neighbors tell me about others in other nearby points. Travel to participate in theIX Summit of the Americas is a right human being that violates the government of Cuba,” the opposition warned this Saturday on her social media account.Twitter.

González's tweet has so far received the support of more than 160 Internet users, who in their responses point out the Cuban government for being afraid that the voices of the island's civil society will be heard at the event.scheduled from June 6 to 10 in the American city of Los Angeles.

“Let them go and cut marabou, which there is plenty of in all of Cuba, and let them do something productive”; “All those police officers should belooking for the girl from Ranchuelo who is missing, look how they have their priorities wrong”; “That is jealousy of Lis Cuestafor not being able to show off in the United States”, commented some users of the social network.

The Cuban activist also published the complaint against the political police on her wall.Facebook. “These are the surroundings of my house today and yesterday. This is how the Cuban repressive forces project themselves so that a civil society actor cannot participate in the Summit of the Americas. The publication provoked reactions from more than 330 Internet users who left messages of support for González, a frequent victim of harassment and bullying by State Security. “There is no ambulance to transport a sick person but there are enough cars to monitor the peaceful people who are crying out for freedom,” questioned a forum member.

“The whole world already knows the truth about Cuba, whoever denies it does so out of free will or convenience but not out of ignorance. But the great truth is that the solution is only in the hands of the people”, “Our freedom and democracy must soon arrive, the whole world knows our reality”, commented other users.

This FridayThe Cuban activist reported that the Castro regime prohibited her from leaving the country to participate in the Summit, despite the fact that he had already received his visa at the United States Embassy in Havana and that he even had a plane ticket booked with American Airlines.

“Cuba has been invited to the IX Summit of the Americas, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, only that the guests are those who want democracy and that all the rights of all Cubans be respected and not those who present, as the only options, Socialism or Death like Miguel Díaz-Canel,” González stated in a Twitter thread in which he gave details about the harassment of the SE upon learning that it was summoned to the regional event.

The Santa Clara activist said that they used an alleged criminal process for instigating theCivic March for Change on November 20, 2022 to deny him exit and added that alleged judicial investigations against Cuban dissidents are frequently used to coerce, imprison, interrogate and prevent them from participating in international events where they can expose the regime's atrocities to the world.
