“To all those who complain, continue to complain, but it will cost $8,” was the lapidary tweet from the new owner and absolute boss of Twitter,Elon Musk, to summarize his position in the face of the criticism received for his intention to charge for the account verification service in the largest microblogging social network.
The Tesla and now social media magnate ironically stated in the responses to his tweet that he had totally stolen the idea of charging for insults and arguments from the British television show Monty Python.
