The promoter is the son of Luis Manuel Llamo Castillo, the Son Ambassador, the person behind this whole idea and who established the first world record in Caracas, in November 2022.
"The satisfaction you feel when you see so many people is gratifying. dancing casino in unison, which is also an essential part of the Cuban," Llamo Castro explained.
The idea is to set the new record in May 2024, and although there is still much to do and not all the things needed are organized, the promoters of the initiative are confident that they will achieve the goal.
For this purpose, several rehearsals were scheduled, organized together with the country's authorities, and which will allow the idea to be outlined and prepared for the final moment.

"We want it to be in a large space and we are considering three proposals: the Plaza de la Revolución, La Piragua del Malecón or Galiano Street (Italy Avenue)," he said. "We are passionate about this and we want Cuba to return to the casino dance as a popular fashion and for young people to make it their own."
Likewise, next year they want to establish the world record for the most people playing the son key at the same time, with their hands.
"There must be more than four thousand people, most of them from Havana, and we hope it will be an experience full of Cubanness and identity," Llamo Castro said.
As part of the rehearsals prior to breaking the record, On May 7 there was a mega casino round in Havana and the rest of Cuba, which also served to celebrate Son Day, a tribute to all those musicians who have defended the genre throughout history.
