Inter Miami will play tonight their second match in Major League Soccer when they face Nashville SC, the same opponent they defeated in the recent Leagues Cup final.
For the match, Argentine coach Gerardo Martino has announced that his compatriot Lionel Messi will be part of the starting group, after the rest received a few days ago in the clash against New York Red Bulls. In that match, the genius from Rosario entered the field at the start of the action and scored in the 89th minute after a brilliant individual action his seconded by the young Benjamín Cremaschi.
“The game that (Messi) needed to recover was the last one in New York, just like Busquets. If there are no problems, he will start against Nashville,” Martino said in statements shared by ESPN.
The new confrontation against Nashville will be at the DRV PNK Stadium. In the previous one, played at Geodis Park, both teams finished regulation time tied at one goal and went to penalties, where after a long shootout the 'Herons' won 10-9.
The coach of the Miami franchise has designed the team's operation around Messi, and this has led to a performance that is summarized in a streak of eight games without losing (Blue Cross, Atlanta United, Orlando City, Dallas, Charlotte, Philadelphia Union, Nashville and New York).
“Having Messi it is very difficult not to design the team around him to achieve his best version," said the 'Tata'. We always think about how he can have a greater impact on the game and in that sense we are doing well. The rest of "The players understand the idea of exploiting Leo's capabilities while still being a team."
