Murder of Baracoa resident reported in police custody

Cubalex claimed to have confirmed the information independently with local sources.

According to what was reported by the sources consulted, Sanamé Durán “was transferred to the Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja General Hospital, in Baracoa, where he died of a heart attack, according to the doctors' ruling.”

The NGO indicated that the independent journalist Yoel Acosta had shared photos of the body on his account Facebook and that there were injuries on the detainee's body.

“Elio Norkis, murdered by the Castro-Canel dictatorship in Baracoa. “Murderers, you will pay for them all,” the journalist said in his publication, addressing the municipal delegate of the MININT, Diesel Castro Pelegrín and the head of the municipal police in Baracoa, Elier Lopez.
