CiberCuba conducted a survey on the Telegram platform to gauge the opinions of Cubans regarding the governance of Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the results were devastating for the leader.

Ninety-five percent of Cubans disapprove of his leadership, and 77% of the users who participated in the survey rate Díaz-Canel's performance as "the worst it could be."

Only 3% of the respondents said that the management of the villaclareño has been excellent. In the comments on the post, opinions expressing disagreement with the economic measures imposed during his tenure and concerns about the increase in repression in the country stand out.

"There has never been in the entire history of the Republic of Cuba as an independent state, since May 20, 1902, a Head of State and government with such poor performance. The country has undergone a constant and persistent regression in all its indicators, reaching the highest levels of unpopularity ever remembered in decades for a political representative," said a user.

He also pointed out that Díaz-Canel's disasters have been felt across all sectors of the Cuban economy and in the life of the country.

"In any economic, political, social, cultural, sports, scientific, environmental field, etc. The management of citizen Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez has been catastrophic and detrimental to this country, demonstrating with every decision he has made the inherent traits of his personality: mediocrity, ineptitude, evident incapacity, and foolishness. Any person with a shred of dignity, self-esteem, respect, and self-love would have resigned a long time ago," he said.

Another user, who referred to him as "Diazka" in reference to the song that ultimately earned him the nickname "the son of a bitch," noted that the president took over the country on the brink of collapse.

"The guy may be a jerk, given what happened on July 11 and all the nonsense he spews, but let's not forget that the masterminds behind the country's destruction have been the Castro family and their cronies. Canel has had to deal with the fallout," he commented.

Several people describe him as "incompetent," "appointed by favoritism," and some believe that his administration has been the worst of all during the communist era.

"It is important to note that Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez is a figure who has been placed in the position of president for convenience, rather than because he is the most suitable person for the country's most important role," another person stated.

As of the time of writing this note, the survey has received over 2,820 votes and hundreds of comments.

On Monday, Miguel Díaz-Canel was interviewed by state journalist Arleen Rodríguez Derivet. The ruler addressed various issues regarding the current situation in Cuba and deemed it “offensive” that many citizens believe his administration exhibits aspects of a neoliberal policy.
