Otto Ortiz does not learn and takes out insurance with the ESEN to travel to Spain

"God, please protect me. I spent money on insurance just for fun. Don't let anything happen to me," the comedian asked in a joking tone.

The Cuban comedianOtto Ortiz announced that he will soon travel to Spain for work and that he has contracted travel insurance with the National Insurance Company (ESEN), a Cuban state entity that he has accused of breaching its agreement with its clients.

Otto detailed in a video the supposed benefits that the company offers in case he needs some type of assistance, and he found the figures so good that he joked that he had asked God for an accident and then get paid.

"When I saw that I had so many things, I said: 'God, please, give me an accident, some light, not very...' thing. But hey, there is insurance that supports me," he said.

But then, upon realizing who he had contracted with ESEN, he backtracked and changed his message.

"God, please protect me, take care of me from all evils. I have spent money on insurance for pleasure. May nothing happen to me," he asked.

The comedian will perform in theaters in several cities in Spain withMarcos García -Teresa's son- and Michel Pentón.

"Use:The Havana native has NEVER been to Europe"he stressed.

In September,Ortiz announced his intention to sue ESEN, since years ago he signed a contract to insure his car and it was of no use to him.

The comedian accused the company and its managers of making agreements for years that they cannot fulfill, and of only "meeting with their dissatisfied clients to buy time and prolong their agony."

"In a country where importing cars is no longer a crime, in a country where a considerable number of rented cars are sent to an entity that is dedicated to dismantling them to sell them in parts or delivers them for replacement, in a country where There are parking lots full of unused cars. It is absurd that this company, ESEN, continues with the same discourse from years ago and without giving a concrete answer," he questioned.

"ESEN, don't deceive us anymore, remove the replacement of the car from your insurance modality, comply with what you have, and after that, try again," he stressed.

Otto had an insurance policy on his car. Unfortunately, an accident left his vehicle unusable and despite his insistent claims, the company did not pay him the money he was owed, years after the accident occurred.

The businessman also asked his friends and followers that if they knew of a lawyer or any way in which he could sue the company, to let him know.

In March of last year, after the government approved newmeasures for the sale and import of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and seeing that ESEN would not replace his, the comedian calculated that he would have to sell a thousand pizzas a day at his private pizzeria to be able to buy one.

"For the calm of who you know to recover from what I crashed years ago and in the face of the infinite delay with a tendency to perpetual delay, today I decided to find out what the car import thing is like.Selling 1,000 pizzas a day and making 1,000 jokes a day, I think that in 15 years I will be able to import a car…", he said ironically.
