The mother of the Cuban urban music singer Alejandro Santoya, popularly known in the show business world as El Yonki, passed away in Cuba.
The sad news has been confirmed to CiberCuba by the couple and manager of the reggaeton artist, Ani Dieppa, who has now become El Yonki's biggest support after the irreparable loss.
"Fly high, my love, fly," wrote the young woman in the stories on her Instagram account referring to the sad family news.
El Yonki's mother had been fighting a painful illness for some time, so the artist frequently made trips to the island to visit her.
For this reason, El Yonki has been accused of being a communist several times in the city of Miami. However, these comments never stopped the reggaeton singer and his mother from spending time together in Cuba.
On Mother's Day, El Yonki took the opportunity to dedicate some beautiful words to his mother, expressing the deep love, gratitude, and respect he feels for her.
"No man is poor if he has a mother by his side. A mother's work never ends, but today you deserve the world and more. Growing up, I didn't realize how much you did to make our daily life run smoothly. Now that I am older, I am amazed by everything you did for me and I admire you even more. Thank you for making my childhood such a special experience that cannot be forgotten! I love you with all my heart, blessings my queen. Without a doubt, you are the best gift of my life. I love you very much," wrote the artist alongside a photograph of his mother.
