The passing of the esteemed Dr. Nancy Duquesne García, who led the ophthalmology department at the Arnaldo Milián Castro hospital for many years, has been deeply felt in Villa Clara, according to official sources reported this Saturday.

"The doctor was a specialist in second-degree ophthalmology and an assistant professor. She enjoyed the prestige and recognition of her colleagues, patients, and students," published the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara on Facebook.

The statement clarified that Duquesne led the ophthalmology department at the Arnaldo Milián Castro Hospital for many years, "a specialty to which he dedicated his life with profound commitment."

Furthermore, the doctor excelled in both medical assistance and training generations of professionals. She participated in various medical missions and contributed to the education of professionals in other countries.

Duquesne had a deep passion for medicine and his specialty, which inspired his daughter to follow in his footsteps, becoming an excellent specialist herself, according to the report.

A person named José Guillermo Martínez Urbay expressed his sorrow on Facebook for the passing of the healer, noting that she had been living in Havana for some time.
