A Cuban farmer is garnering views on social media after improvising unique verses that describe what life in Cuba is like today.
Comedian Rigoberto Ferrera echoed the video of the farmer, emphasizing that in his words lies "The truth about Cuba".
From his horse, the man, whose identity has not been revealed on social media, eloquently recites his verses in the style of someone who improvises on the spot.
The electrification forever is fading, and people are making a fire pit with three stones. Those without soap look for agave leaves and use a palm leaf hat as a fan to cool off, as in the times of Hatuey," he said.
Many internet users have supported the Cuban farmer, emphasizing his preparation, the clarity of his message, which arrives provoking smiles and inviting reflection on what is happening in the country.
When the light goes out on me, a firefly gives me flashes, like in those times of Casiguaya and Guamá. I eat like a heron and a boa, not like a beef steak, to comply with the law and if I don't find soft bread, I start eating casabe, like in the times of Hatuey," he pointed out.
"The countryman has an extensive vocabulary. It seems that people in rural areas are more educated," said one person.
Others had the idea of inviting this friendly poet to the program "Palmas y Caña", but his message does not fit within the precepts of National Television, despite being absolutely sincere about how life is lived in the countryside of Cuba, in the midst of the crisis.
