An animal shelter in the province of Villa Clara appealed for help on social media last Sunday for a dog that suffered a spinal fracture, expressing deep affection for the injured animal.

"You deserve all the beauty this world has to offer, my Milagros," remarked Daime Pérez Ramírez in the Facebook group Society for the Protection of Animals in Cuba, while requesting assistance with diapers, Desitin cream, wipes, and any contributions for the recovery of the little dog.

According to Pérez, Milagros is already receiving treatment and is currently waiting for results for a new veterinary assessment. "She also has a cart, but it can't be used at the moment," he noted.

The animal protector stated that she has faced numerous criticisms due to the affection she shows for the little dog, which has impacted her ability to provide assistance. "The only one suffering is Milagros," she emphasized.

Additionally, this same situation compelled her to explain on social media that, although she is employed, she is currently on medical leave, which has prevented her from working.

She explained that this situation has prompted her to seek help in providing the puppy Milagros with all the diapers and other necessary supplies for her recovery from a spinal fracture.

"I'll take care of the cost of your food and your health," he stated.

In the post, Pérez explained that a person in Havana named Yaneisy was responsible for collecting the donations and sending them to Villa Clara.

This person provided their address at Prado 106, between Genio and Refugio streets, in Old Havana, and their phone number is 52597083.

Animal protectors in Cuba undertake a humane task by filling the countless gaps that the regime is unable to address, amidst a deep economic crisis.

Recently, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation saved the life of a dog that had been attacked with a machete by a man.

Since then, they took care of the dog and ensured that it returned to its owner, who today showers Yeiko with love.

These rescuers celebrated last Friday the quick recovery of the dog and shared an emotional video of the pup barking at the street.
