Alexis Valdés dedicated a message of respect and admiration to the musician Emilio Frías, director of El Niño y La Verdad, after attending his concert at the Flamingo Bar Theater in Miami.
In his message, where he admitted not knowing much about his music, the renowned Cuban comedian and presenter expressed his pleasant surprise at discovering the great talent of the artist and enjoying a show for which he only had words of praise.
"I thought I was going to see something good. But it far exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, outstanding. This guy is exceptional," he said at the beginning of his post, shared this Saturday.
"I had heard very praising comments about his talent. But what I saw yesterday left me impressed. What a way of singing. What a way of owning the stage. Way of communicating. What a way of connecting with the audience. What art of speaking to the people. What a way of having flavor, flair, and rhythm, without losing the elegance of class. Major League stuff," he said about El Niño, whom he didn't hesitate to say is "among the top 10 in Cuban music that I've seen in recent times. And beyond Cuban music. Across all of Latin music."
"A stage gentleman. And an exceptional singer. Three hours of singing, and that voice sounded from low to high with the same clarity and charm. What pitch, what melody. I repeat, Major League. I take my hat off," he added in his words, thanking Emilio for asking him to present his show.
After seeing you, I recognize that it was an honor for me. It was a real joy and revelation. Brother. Great artist. You nailed it. Here's to more," he added, overflowing with praise.
Excited and grateful for such flattering words, Frías confessed in response to Alexis' post on Facebook.
Honestly, I don't even know what to say. Thank you, my brother. Seriously, thank you a thousand times. You don't know what your words mean to me. As I've already told you, and as everyone who knows me is aware, I am a follower of your work, an admirer and fan of your career. Your presentation yesterday was my best gift, and today these words that I will carry in my heart," he said.
A few days earlier, it had been Emilio Frías who had celebrated being able to enjoy the talent of Alexis Valdés.
"It was a lovely experience to be able to share and enjoy the show by the great Alexis Valdés, and nice to meet the beautiful and talented Claudia Valdés, his wife. Thanks to both for the opportunity, it was a magical night, here's to many more like these. P.S.: Those who know me know that I am a fan of Cristinito and I know complete monologues of 5 minutes," he said in the post where he encouraged not to miss his concert, the same one for which Alexis later received only praise and recognition.
