The Cuban model Lisandra Silva spoke on a podcast on Economina about the cruel messages she received after showing her son Noah following his birth. A tough moment that the businesswoman remembered to reflect on criticism towards the physical appearance of others, be they adults or children.
After introducing her son Noah on Instagram, the result of her relationship with Raúl Peralta, the Cuban woman received unpleasant comments about the child's appearance. The former reality star then addressed the criticisms by responding to those who wrote these messages, and years later, she reflected on this and shared how she experienced that stage of her life.
"There is nothing wrong with your child. You see everything as perfect and then you show it, because you want your followers, the people who have seen you for nine months with such a big belly, to finally meet the greatest treasure of your life. And to see such universe-defying comments leaves you perplexed. I felt sad for the people where these comments were coming from," Lisandra Silva began expressing.
They are people who are asleep, who cannot see beyond what a human being is, a beautiful little thing, an innocent being of God. How can you have such an opinion? Having an opinion on the physical appearance of a person, of a child, is very delicate. You have to think beyond that, that person has a soul, feelings, is going through millions of things that you do not know," she added.
And what you think about that person is what you feel, what you have in your head, what you have in your heart. So, when you have a thought, an opinion about a person, analyze yourself why you think that way.
"If you don't have anything good to say, it's better not to say anything," concluded Noah and Leiah's mom.
In response to his words, some applauded his reflection while others questioned the exposure of minors on social media.
