Relatives of a man who suffered a traffic accident on Tuesday in Santiago de Cuba urgently need blood donations for him.
It concerns a motorist who was hit by a taxi on San Francisco Street, corner of San Félix, in the heart of the city of Santiago.
"Please, we need your help, my grandfather is O positive but he can also use O negative. Anyone who can help us, please call 58093900," said the elderly man's granddaughter, Shania Jerez, on her Facebook wall.
According to another request shared on the Internet, the gentleman "is fighting for his life" apparently due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada also shared the request and added that anyone who wishes to help can call the numbers +53 58093900, +53 22656716, and +53 54685862.
The day before, Mayeta Labrada reported a collision between a private rental vehicle (a pisicorre) and a motorcycle, with no information available at that time regarding the condition of the motorcyclist.
A witness stated that the motorcyclist was "very injured" and was urgently taken to the hospital. The photos showed that the motorcycle sustained serious damage.
So far, no details of the accident are known.
Several internet users agreed that that corner is very dangerous and numerous accidents have occurred there.
