Following a series of recent shark attacks on Florida beaches, swimmers documented in videos the presence of several sharks in the waters of Miami in recent days.
The Instagram profile OnlyInDade shared a video on Sunday of the moment when two sharks were sharing a delicious catch at Crandon Beach.
"It seems that these two big sharks had a pelican for lunch," the account posted.
Two days earlier, he had published images of a huge specimen swimming near the surface of the water, apparently hunting for prey.
"That fin is quite serious! Just looking for a little afternoon snack," the post commented.
A user pointed out in the comments: "Hammerhead shark, it is endangered. Let's be thankful that these waters have that king of the seas, it means it is a healthy ocean."
But the presence of sharks on the beaches of Florida, although common, still causes astonishment and fear among bathers.
A large shark was captured by air control cameras on a beach in Miami as it swam slowly along the shore, in front of the astonished gaze of summer vacationers who, recklessly, stayed in the water while recording it up close.
But that has not been the fate of other bathers, who have suffered serious injuries from shark attacks in recent weeks.
The Cuban José Ángel Abreu, 37 years old and living in Opa-locka, experienced danger first-hand just a few days ago: a shark inflicted serious injuries to his chest, left leg, and left arm while he was fishing with his children in the Florida Keys. The man is recovering from the attack, grateful to have survived to tell the tale.
In the first half of July, several shark attacks were reported on beaches in Florida. One of the bites was suffered by a young man who was playing with a ball, with the water at knee height.
