Aly Sánchez thanks for the expressions of affection following her grandmother's emergency surgery in Cuba.

Aly Sánchez and her grandmother Mama have received countless expressions of love after the latter suffered a fall in Cuba and fractured her hip last Friday.

The Cuban actress assured that her grandmother is recovering very well from the emergency surgery and is being cared for by the whole family, but she didn't miss the opportunity to thank everyone who has been concerned about her health through social media.

An insurance covered by the airline América Airlines for American residents and citizens traveling to Cuba allowed Mama to be treated in a section designated for foreigners at the Sancti Spíritus hospital, with better conditions.

"Thank God he is recovering, he can travel in about two or three weeks more or less, he can't walk, they are doing therapy for sitting, almost all the time sitting, lifting his legs," Aly detailed.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the messages you have sent us and for worrying about her, I truly appreciate it, and they feel like little hugs to the heart during these difficult times," were the words of gratitude she conveyed to her followers.

Mom lives with Aly Sánchez in Miami and last June she turned 86 years old, but at her age she is the favorite of the house and the joy of her family.
