A 14-year-old girl died this Friday after falling from a bus that was traveling with its doors open on the central highway near the Ceiba Mocha council in the province of Matanzas.

The official pro-government profile "With Everyone, Victory" on Facebook explained that "the teenager fell from the bus she was traveling on, which was moving with the doors open, in violation of road safety regulations."

The publication of this profile close to the Ministry of the Interior held the bus driver responsible for violating article 103-10 of the Road Safety Code, which prohibits vehicles from operating with their doors open.

This incident has shocked the local community, which is outraged by the event.

It was revealed that the young woman was studying nursing.

Local authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, while the family and friends of the victim have received condolences from dozens of neighbors, who have also written touching posts on social media.

"This afternoon, October 3, it rained heavily in Ceiba Mocha, and according to the elders, when a person dies and it rains, it means that they were good, and she was good despite her young age," wrote one of them.

A user claimed that the responsibility may not lie solely with the driver, as dozens of buses in Cuba operate "with doors in such poor technical condition that they are unpredictable."
