The United States Embassy in Cuba warned on Monday about a public demonstration that the island's government will organize in support of the Palestinian cause, in the afternoon of the upcoming October 8, in Havana.

The event will begin near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the island and will continue along the Malecón until the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, located in front of the U.S. diplomatic headquarters.

According to the statement published on their Instagram page, all U.S. citizens are urged to avoid the area of the demonstration, as even peaceful protests can become unpredictable without warning.

He also requested to consider possible traffic diversions, increased police presence, impacts on transportation, to stay alert to their surroundings at all times, and to be informed through the media about potential changes in the situation.

A similar alert occurred in November 2023, when the regime of the island held a massive demonstration in favor of Palestine, which crossed in front of the diplomatic headquarters of Washington.

That time, students from that Arab nation who were awarded scholarships on the Island participated, some of them carrying photos of leaders from the Hamas militia.
