Mipyme lowers the price of frozen products for the third day without electricity in Cuba.

Cubans should be cautious about the quality of frozen products that are purchased these days, particularly fish and meat.

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Mipyme) in Cuba began to reduce the prices of frozen products starting on Sunday due to fears of losing them after three days without electricity in the country.

Facebook user Beatriz Alonso showed how a small and medium-sized enterprise had discounts of up to 70% on frozen products, near her home in Havana.

The internet user Dagoberto Pedreja recorded a video in which another small and medium-sized enterprise from the Plaza municipality can be seen selling ice creams at a very low price this Sunday, in order to share them with the community and make a minimal profit.

Some private companies lowered their prices in solidarity with Cubans who cannot find food, while others tried to minimize their losses, but some food is rotting in the refrigerators without power.

State-owned companies have not shown this type of initiative in the country. On other occasions, they have allowed products to rot in warehouses without lowering prices to sell them to the population.

It is very important to pay attention to the quality of frozen products purchased in Cuba during these days of general blackout on the island.

The quality of fish, meat, and dairy products must be especially checked, because after long hours with low or no refrigeration, they could spoil and make those who consume these foods ill.

Other Cuban micro, small, and medium enterprises have shown their solidarity in these days of general blackout by creating areas for charging electronic devices.

Among them, Kaluch Export & Import stands out for setting up a power plant so that neighbors can charge cell phones and lamps during this difficult time in the country.

The regime has made it clear that the energy crisis will not have an immediate solution. Solidarity among Cubans is a crucial factor for surviving in this stage.
