Cuban entrepreneur in Miami responds to criticism: "I love my pets, I don't cook them in my bakery."

Yandry Roque Pando responded that he loves his pets and would never use them as ingredients in his bakery, Ena’s Secret Bake, in Miami.

A young Cuban entrepreneur, owner of the bakery Ena’s Secret Bake in Miami, responded on social media to the criticism he received for his love for his pets, which include a pair of small pigs, several chihuahuas, and Pepe, a famous goat that has gone viral thanks to the dedication and affection of his owner.

Yandry Roque Pando, in an extensive video posted on his Facebook profile, clarified that his pets are like family to him and categorically denied the accusations that they were meant to be consumed by his clients.

"Understand what a pet means. My animals are not for eating. I want to have a pig, a goat, whatever I choose. I don't kill animals; I take care of them and rescue them," emphasized the entrepreneur, referring to those who have falsely accused him of selling meat from his own animals in his bakery.

In the video, Roque explained that the pork used in his business comes from an external supplier, ensuring that "the pork sold is purchased frozen and the managers prepare it; I have nothing to do with slaughtering a pig."

Additionally, she emphasized that she has invested time and money in rescuing and caring for her animals, defending her decision to have them and the love she has for them.

The young entrepreneur also took the opportunity to deliver a strong message to his detractors: “My pets are my life, and if you don’t agree, you can block me or go to hell,” he declared.

The criticism stemmed from her recent posts, where she affectionately interacts with a little piglet, feeding it and tickling it.

It seems that some people suggested that the fate of this pet would be to end up in a pork sandwich, like the ones sold at Ena’s Secret Bake, a remark that provoked her strong response.

"In my bakery, it is true that we sell bread with lechón, but it's not like I kill a pig," the young Cuban emphasized.

"People who know me understand what kind of person I am. I don't joke around with elderly people or animals. For me, the most important things are the elderly and little animals," she noted.

Roque has launched several initiatives to establish his bakery in Miami.

Recently, he gave away cakes on a street in Hialeah: “My people, let’s stop traffic here to give away cake,” said the entrepreneur in a video shared on his Facebook profile to the rhythm of “Añoranza por la Conga.”

On another occasion, recalling the childhood memories of Cubans, he offered sweets in birthday boxes.
