The elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured on Thursday that security at the border with Mexico will be one of his priorities when he returns to the White House in January.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News, he announced the implementation of a plan for mass deportations, promising to deport dangerous criminals such as murderers and drug traffickers who, in his view, should not remain in the country.

Trump defended the deportation of these individuals without worrying about the costs.

"It's not a matter of cost. We really have no other option. There are people who have killed and murdered, drug lords who have destroyed countries, and now they are going to return to those countries because they do not stay here. It's not a matter of... it's not a matter of cost," he explained.

He also stated that he will not only focus on mass deportations but will also promote the entry of individuals and companies willing to contribute legally to the country.

"We want people to come. We will have many companies coming to our country. We want businesses and factories to arrive," he stated, stressing that those who enter must do so legally and without a criminal record.

The elected president also made it clear that his immigration policy will focus on expelling those who pose a threat to national security, mentioning that voters agreed with his approach to deporting murderers, drug traffickers, and gang members, who should not be welcomed in the U.S.

In his interview with journalist Kristen Welker, the president-elect also mentioned the support he received during the elections, highlighting the Latino vote, despite the anti-immigrant rhetoric that has characterized him in his past campaigns.

The elected president partly attributed his victory to his strong stance on immigration, noting that many voters support the idea of secure borders and a legal and orderly immigration process.

"They want to have borders and they like people to come, but they must come with love for the country. They have to come legally," said Trump.
