In an emotional message to his team, supporters, and cabinet members, President Joe Biden expressed his gratitude for the support he has received during his term and highlighted the achievements made during his presidency.

"To our incredible staff, supporters, cabinet members, and everyone who has been with me over the past four years: thank you," he began his message, acknowledging the collective effort of all those who have worked to implement his agenda.

Biden acknowledged that this is a difficult time for many, but he assured that he is listening to the people and deeply values their feelings.

"I hear you. I see you," he said, before emphasizing the importance of not forgetting the progress made: "Let’s not forget everything we have achieved."

The president emphasized that a significant portion of the work done is already benefiting the American people, but the greatest results will be felt over the next ten years.

"It is truly historic," Biden stated while referring to the achievements of his administration, particularly the economic recovery the country has experienced under his leadership.

"We are leaving behind the strongest economy in the world," he said, emphasizing the progress made, especially in terms of job creation and economic growth.

Biden also reflected on the ongoing struggle for the "soul" of the United States, a theme that has been present since the nation's founding. "The struggle for the soul of America has always been ongoing," he noted, acknowledging that political campaigns are "contests of opposing visions," but that the will of the people must be accepted and respected.

"The elections are a reflection of that struggle," he said.

Finally, the outgoing leader called for unity and love for the country, regardless of the election outcome.

"You cannot love your country only when you win," he concluded, inviting everyone to move forward with hope and determination to continue working for the well-being of the United States.

The Democrats were surpassed by the Republican Donald Trump in the presidential elections, to which Biden assured that he would ensure a peaceful transfer of power, unlike what happened during his inauguration in 2020.
