Following the earthquake that occurred on Sunday around 10:50 a.m., several users on social media have reported feeling a second tremor in various locations in eastern Cuba.
Aris Arias Batalla, responsible for the Red Cross in Santiago de Cuba, announced on Facebook about a second earthquake.
In a second post, Arias stated that no damages or injuries had been reported so far.
The activist Bricella Hernández also reported on her social media about a second noticeable earthquake in the province of Santiago de Cuba.
The young filmmaker Daniel Ross from Guantánamo indicated on his social media that the second earthquake was noticeable in that eastern region.
"It shook again, stronger than 6.8," Ross noted.
Journalist Anolvis Cuscó reported on Facebook that at 11:51 a.m., another tremor occurred in Santiago de Cuba: "There was a strong quake in the eastern region of Cuba."
"Hundreds of thousands of people are leaving their homes to the streets of Santiago de Cuba," he noted.
