A Cuban who identifies as @ismel.la.figura on TikTok shared a video capturing the heavy traffic in Miami, accompanied by an audio clip that has become popular among Cubans on the platform to illustrate the challenges of navigating this city. The video has sparked a wide range of reactions from Cubans living in Miami and other parts of the United States, who left contrasting comments about life in the Sunshine City.

Among the comments, the humor and resignation of many Cubans stand out, who, despite the daily challenges of traffic, would not give up living in Miami.

A user commented, “It’s true that anyone who lives in Miami never really left Cuba,” comparing the hustle and bustle and traffic chaos to that of Cuban cities. Others took the opportunity to reaffirm their love for Miami despite its drawbacks, expressing that “Miami is Miami, and nothing compares” or, as another put it, “Family, Miami is Miami, that’s how we love it. The truth is, the best of the best is Miami.”

However, patience has its limits, and some users admitted that the traffic in the city has become "unbearable" over the years. "I love Miami; it's unique, but wow, the traffic really gets worse every day," one user wrote. Others joked about the time they spend in their cars, saying that they even have time to "have breakfast and maybe even lunch" during their commute.

These contrasts between love and critique reflect the relationship of Cubans with Miami, a city that many would not leave to move to other places or states. However, some have chosen to relocate to areas with a lower cost of living and less traffic.

Despite its drawbacks, the reality is that for many Cubans, Miami remains a place they would not trade for any other.
