On November 14, 2024, CiberCuba celebrates its tenth anniversary. Over the past ten years, we have worked tirelessly to be the digital voice of Cubans, facing challenges and overcoming obstacles, always with the goal of keeping our audience informed in an objective and accurate manner. Our commitment to transparency and informational independence has strengthened over time, thanks to the ongoing support of our community.
Since our inception in 2014, we have grown alongside a passionate team that has never ceased to seek the truth. We provide news, opinions, and reports that reflect the Cuban reality, tirelessly pursuing the information that affects and matters to everyday Cubans. We offer in-depth coverage of the topics that the official press ignores and distorts. Although we face frequent attacks, we remain committed to the truth and the freedom of information, reporting without censorship, with the same passion and determination as on our very first day.
As José Martí said: "Let there not be a manifestation of life whose daily occurrences do not surprise the chronicler: that is to make a good journal. To say what is beneficial for all of us, and not to leave out anything that may be relevant to someone. Let everyone find in the journal what they may need and know…". This quote encapsulates our mission at CiberCuba: to discuss everything, the everyday lives of people and their issues, as well as the most important news. We strive to ensure that no one is left unrepresented.
Over the past ten years, we have continuously grown and evolved. From our beginnings, we have managed to capture the attention of millions of readers, establishing ourselves as a reliable and relevant source for Cubans. We have overcome barriers, set audience records, and faced censorship with determination. Our mission to be an independent media outlet has compelled us to be transparent with our community, sharing both our achievements and challenges, always focused on providing objective and honest coverage of Cuban reality.
Thank you to our readers, contributors, and everyone who has trusted CiberCuba as their source of information. We will remain here, committed to you, working to provide impartial and independent coverage of events in Cuba and around the world.
We eagerly await what the next ten years will bring. Who knows, maybe the future will give us the opportunity to report from a free Cuba, where every story can be told without barriers or censorship.
CiberCuba, the digital voice of Cubans.
