A fire in a house in Fort Lauderdale left four people displaced, while the pet Python that the family owned was rescued safely.

The incident occurred around 5:10 a.m. on Tuesday at a residence located at 15th Avenue and 11th Street in the northwest part of the city, reported Telemundo 51.

The fire crews responded quickly to the call and found smoke coming from the back of the house.

After about 15 minutes of intense work, they managed to control the flames, according to the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department in Broward County.

Although no casualties were reported, the four individuals living in the house were displaced and provided assistance by the Red Cross.

During the rescue, firefighters managed to save a python that was the family's pet and was inside the house.

The snake was removed from the house unharmed and is now safe.

The fire appears to have started in a bedroom, although authorities are still investigating the causes of the blaze.

This fire is the third reported in southern Florida this Tuesday. Another incident in Brownsville left two people hospitalized, and a third fire in Davie resulted in one fatality, according to firefighters.
