Chilean deputy Felipe Kast was arrested in Cuba along with Ladies in White

This Sunday, 49 Ladies in White and 15 activists paraded along Fifth Avenue in Miramar in Havana, surrounded by a strong police operation. At the end of the pilgrimage they were arrested and taken by bus to an unknown whereabouts. Among those arrested was the Chilean deputy Felipe Kast, from the EVOPOLI party, who accompanied the march. The event occurred hours after the Chilean Foreign Minister, Heraldo Muñoz, concluded his official visit to Cuba together with a Chilean delegation made up of officials from the Government of Chile and representatives of 35 companies and trade organizations. As a source close to the Chilean deputy confirmed to 14ymedio, Kast was detained for several hours before being released, around 4:00 p.m. local time.
