A gala for the 90th birthday of Fidel Castro was attended by him, which unleashed minutes of applause at the Karl Marx Theater.
The gala was attended, among others, by the current President of Cuba, Raúl Castro, the Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, and the Cuban vice president José Ramón Machado Ventura.
Also present were attackers of the Moncada barracks and Granma expeditionaries, Heroes of the Republic of Cuba, Heroes of Labor, leaders of the Party, the State, the Government and political and mass organizations. Along with them were also members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior, students and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The gala featured the performance of a play that captures the history of Cuba, performed by the children of the children's theater group “La Colmenita.”
Between songs and stories, the gala took place, dedicated to the National hero José Martí and Fidel, on his birthday.
