Recently it was news that the Cuban singerYenisel Valdés would leave the Cuban orchestra Los Van Van, of which he has been a part for 16 years.

However, the reasons were not known nor who exactly made the decision.

It was the singer herself who published a text on her profileFacebook where he explains the causes.

Yeni has confirmed the news andShe has detailed that she has not been motivated to start a solo career or because she has any personal problem with the musicians in the orchestra, whom she calls “brothers.”

He argues, however, that the motive is none other than LOVE. She has gotten married, her husband - of Cuban origin - lives in California, and although she tried to live with him in the United States and continue singing with Los Van Van, it was not possible, and she explains:

"We discussed the possibility of continuing with Van Van from here and at the concerts I would join the band, but Cuba does not allow it, that is, I must be living permanently in Havana for this to be possible."

After that enigmatic phrase "Cuba doesn't allow me," Yenisel goes on to argue that her priorities as a woman have changed, and that the choice she has made is the one that corresponds to this vital moment:

“I feel that I have exhausted myself from so much accompanied loneliness, that today I enjoy feeling loved, respected and reciprocated, those are my ambitions.”

However, he specifies that he will continue singing, and that he will not abandon his profession, which he loves and with which he hopes to continue putting "bread on the table."

Yenisel Valdés is a graduate of Choral Conducting at the Provincial School of Arts of Pinar del Río. He began in music in 1997, when he was part of the NG La Banda orchestra, along with José Luis Cortés.

Later he would call her Formell, and he made a career in Los Van Van during the last 16 years of his artistic life.

Good luck to Yeni on her new path.

Below we reproduce the text published on Facebook by the singer.

Good morning to all my friends. Gentlemen, first of all I apologize for not having spoken out yesterday, as you can imagine it was a very hard day for me. I thought that today I would dare to make a video but I know that I am not going to have the courage that is needed, because I recognize that I am very sensitive and I don't want to start my day crying and I don't cry pretty (by the way). Friends, it is true that I am no longer in the orchestra, my departure is not motivated by wanting to pursue a solo career, it is not motivated by any personal problem between my brothers in the orchestra, my departure has only had one motive and that is Love.

I got married, my husband lives in California, we discussed the possibility of continuing with the Van Van, I from here and at the concerts I would join the band but Cuba does not allow it, that is, I must be living permanently in Havana for this was possible.... So, we return to the same thing, I am a woman who feels that her priorities have changed, I am happy to have belonged to this wonderful orchestra for 16 years of my life, to have traveled the world and see dance and enjoy so many people, also blessed to have been directed by Mr. Juan Formell Cortina for 14 years, there are no dwarfs to kill, I am a professionally accomplished woman.

I feel that I have exhausted myself from so much accompanied loneliness, that today I enjoy feeling loved, respected and reciprocated, those are my ambitions. I'm not going to stop singing because I love life haha, I would die if I don't, that is the talent that God gave me and with it I hope to continue putting bread on the table. I want to thank all my friends from Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, in Europe too, thank you for your nice words, I don't mention names because I'm afraid I'm missing someone, thank you and CONGRATULATIONS to those who have that great replacement capacity jjjjj (there yes They surprised me haha).

Thanks to all the musicians, the props, the production team, the sound engineers, thank you for making me an accomplice all these years. There will always be Van Van even if it is just one, whoever comes just has to know how to listen without thirst for prominence, be as humble as the most humble of the dancers. The Singers have not made Van Van, Van Van has made singers.

I ask for the Blessing of Ifa through my husband Erick Barbería, Blessing from my godmother Gloria Ramos, my godfather Robertico, from all the Oba, major and minor santeros. Blessing of all my eggun, the blessing of my son Diego José and my Mother Juana María, Blessing of Oshun, my mother, if you are with me, who is against me?

Big kisses to all. The party continues.

The former Van Van, but for many she will always be Vanvan, wrote hours later on the same social network:
