One of the best sprinters of all time, the cheerful and charismatic Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, announced this Wednesday that she had become pregnant, so we already glimpsed her absence at the London 2017 World Athletics Championships.
“A new chapter awaits, hello motherhood, see you soon,” were the words that the multi-laureate wrotesprinter on his Instagram account. The phrase is accompanied by a photo of her pregnancy status.
The double Olympic champion and seven-time world champion is also recognized for her multiple hairstyles and hair colors, for her broad smile and for leading, along with Usain Bolt, a huge generation of Jamaican runners that seems to have no end.
Thus, Fraser-Pryce will be (happily) unable to defend her title in the 100 meters at the British event, scheduled for August 5-13, although she has a magnificent replacement in the current queen of world speed, the young 24-year-old Elaine Thompson.
We only have one doubt left. Will Fraser-Pryce return to the slopes, despite having won as much as he wanted? I hope so, because it is always a great pleasure to appreciate her exact snatches and her image of a satisfied woman, full of pride. I hope it is true, and we will all see it soon on the main ovals in the world.
What do you think?
