Several local groups in the city of Miami called for a vigil tonight in Bayfront Park, Downtown, to honor the victims of the attack in Virginia.

On Saturday, a 20-year-old Nazi-obsessed man drove his car into a crowd of peaceful protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was a brutal act that left Heather Heyer, 32, in serious condition, as well as many others injured.

The vigil, organized by almost a dozen local groups, is scheduled for eight p.m. as part of a national plan to remember the victims and support the fight against racism and fascism.

The organizers ask attendees to bring candles. They also said that donations could be made for Heyer's family and the medical expenses of the other victims.

Charlottesville protesters march against racist and neo-Nazi groups -driven by Richard Spencer- when a car accelerated and ran over several people.

Hours later Police arrested James Alex Fields Jr., 20,, and charged him with second-degree murder.

Fields had traveled from Ohio for the march and police said he deliberately planned his attack on the peaceful protesters.
