Havana prospect Dyan Yamel Jorge has agreed to sign a million-dollar contract with the Colorado Rockies, according to a source informed CiberCuba.

Jorge, 16 years old, is represented by Magnus Sports. He arrived in the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2019, after experiencing obstacles from the Cuban government to leave the Island.

A scout projected the 6.2 Jorge as a future Gold Glove player, with elite speed, and compared him to other Cuban shortstops such as Alexei Ramírez or Adeiny Hechavarría.

The outstanding shortstop ran the 60-yard dash in 6.3 seconds and the contract will become official in 2021. The amount of the contract was not disclosed.
