The Cuban Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, said that those who criticize the regime on social networks do so for "little money."

"Those who don't love us will always have their eyes set on Cuba, because if they direct it elsewhere they won't be able to have their money just for putting so much poison in the networks. We are surely on the right path!" said Velázquez Cobiella on his official Twitter account.

These comments were offensive to many Cubans who usually express themselves freely on social networks with opinions critical of the Havana government.

"I don't love them, none of them, I live in Cuba, where do you think I should look? I'm not even going to answer the money thing, too stupid," said one user in response.

"I have just been convinced once again with your words that education in Cuba is a disaster, run by incompetent fanatics and mediocre people. You have nothing to do with education according to international standards, you are a political commissar of some military unit," said a Cuban.

"Putting poison in the minds and hearts of our children and young people is what you do when you force them to repeat every morning in Cuban schools, not you totalitarian communists, who will be like Che's murderer," he added.

Another Twitter user responded to the Minister: "If the number of Cubans who write truths to you that you do not want to hear were paid by imperialism in Cuba, there would no longer be economic problems, all or most of us Cubans could now buy in MLC".

A Cuban replied that they should then stop "asking for money from the little worms in the stores in currency. Nobody pays me for doing this. I earn my money honestly, without having to steal. With that I help my family in Cuba, and unfortunately I also support you."

On one occasion Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella He launched it against Cubans who live outside of Cuba: "Those who do not live in Cuba have no right to criticize us," he said.

"We accept the criticism of those who are with us and are willing to share our shortcomings and seek solutions," he added.
