The rapper Aldo Rodríguez Baquero, better known as Al2 The Villager, was presented this Saturday in Bogotá, Colombia, where he made those present join in the chorus of “Díaz-Canel singao”, a well-known song by the artist with strong criticism of the ruler of Cuba.

Images of the moment were shared on social networks this Sunday. Aldo will sing in the coming days in several Colombian cities, where he has a large number of followers, especially in Medellín, a city where the tickets were even sold out, according to the artist himself.

With rhymes characterized by strong criticism of the Cuban government, his phrase "Díaz-Canel singao" has become popular internationally as an expression of rejection of the president.

It comes from a song signed by Al2 El Aldeano and Silvito The Free, under the title of Diazka. The issue attacks the ruler's management, pointing out aspects such as the increase in repression, poverty, artistic censorship, corruption and favoritism towards relatives of the leaders.

“The schools, the penitentiaries, the parks, the hospitals, the streets and the salaries are bad. After emigrating and going through 10,000 jobs, when you arrive they take (products from Customs) away from you, they yell at you and speak softly to them! (...) For that reason and for my children, I went to hell.”, says the lyrics.

The song premiered on June 14, 2019 on the La Cueva channel, with a video directed by Ángel Pons. On April 4, 2021, in the San Isidro neighborhood, a group of Cubans chanted the chorus after the police tried to take the rapper prisoner. Maykel “Osorbo” Castillo.

Later, international celebrities used the phrase. The Puerto Rican reggaeton player Farruko attended the Youth Awards 2021 wearing a t-shirt with the flag of Cuba and the message to Díaz-Canel in large black letters.

Also the influencer Mia Khalifa, a former Lebanese porn film actress, has used the words on Twitter on several occasions. The most recent, just a few days ago.
