In asurvey conducted with 20,000 residents and local experts to rank the best streets in the world in terms of food, fun, culture and community, Miami Avenue, “main artery of the lively community of Little Havana,” was located in theplace 16.

“Along the bustling strip aresome of the oldest cigar shops in Miami, whose aroma permeates the sidewalks; hedomino park most iconic of the city (you could seeAndy Garcia playing here on the latest version ofFather of the Bride); and the beloved storeartisanal desserts Azúcar, whose giant ice cream cone sculpture is a beacon for all those seeking dessertCuban-inspired ice cream”wrote the magazine.

The tourist magazine values as something favorable and comforting that theEighth Street hasn't changed much in recent years when the world is in constant transformation.

“It is comforting to know that there is still a stretch of Miami that servesConsistently good little coffee with a side of genuine warmth and hospitality”, valued the medium.

Time Out stood out within the gastronomy of this illustrious street of the Cuban community, theCafé La Trova, from James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein. In this place, according to the magazine, outsiders enjoy theauthentic Miami Cuban experience and locals, live music and cocktails.

Another attraction for those surveyed were the mojitos ofBall & Chain, a jazz club that offers live shows on an iconic pineapple stage, while inside you can enjoy “salsa dancers andcontagious latin rhythms”.

Boutique hotel chain Life House, on the other hand, was highlighted by the magazine for having transformed an old apartment building into a “charming Le Labo-scented inn,” with small but well-decorated rooms. Their “adorable” rooftop restaurant, Terras, serves Latin-inspired small plates, strong drinks, and stunning views.

The ranking of the most interesting cities in the world appears for the second consecutive time and in this edition the hospitality magazine included three more sites than in the 2021 list.

In first place this year was Wellington Street, in Montreal's Verdun neighborhood, which features a mix of incredible cocktail bars, stellar brunch spots, some of the best sandwiches in the city, and even a sandy urban beach.

In the United States, the streets classified as the coolest were, in addition to Eight in Miami, Wentworth Avenue in Chicago (ranked 20) and MacDougal Street in New York (ranked 29).
