The United States Embassy in Havana congratulated the five Cuban artists who were nominated to the Premios Grammy 2023.

"A big congratulations to the five Cuban artists Cimafunk, Camila Cabello, Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval and Arturo O'Farrill for being nominated for the 2023 GRAMMY Awards in the United States. Another recognition of the musical talent of the Cuban people," published the embassy on Twitter.

Cimafunk He is nominated in the Best Latin or Alternative Rock Album category for his album The food, while the trumpeter Arturo Sandoval could win his tenth Grammy for the album Rhythm & Soul.

The saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera, holder of 15 Grammy Awards, is nominated for Best Instrumental Composition for his original composition "African Tales."

The jazz player Arturo O'Farrill, son of Cuban trumpeter and composer Chico O'Farrill, repeats for the third consecutive year in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.

For its part, Camila Cabello She was nominated for her pairing with British singer Ed Sheeran in "Bam Bam", for which they entered the category Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
