The Cuban singer José Manuel Carbajal, best known as El Taiger, is working on a new album for St. Jude Hospital, the proceeds from which he will donate to the institution for cancer treatment for children.
"I hope these songs are well-received by everyone for a greater good. I give what I have, my small contribution through music, and the royalties will benefit this institution. Don’t seek me where I’m wanted; seek me in the most just causes. God is great," wrote the reggaeton artist on his social media alongside the logo of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.
Among the topics, there is one that has already won the hearts of its followers and is circulating on social media even before its release.
The song begins with a sample of "It's a beautiful day," one of the most viral tracks in the past month on TikTok and Instagram. The original piece is performed a cappella by the young Jermaine Edwards and has been covered by musicians from around the world.
"You appeared, I needed you, you gave me everything in exchange for nothing. Thank you, my king, Jesus is my king," sings El Taiger in his version, where he speaks of sacrifices and how believing in God has given him "breath when I’m suffocating the most."
The comments celebrating this action by El Taiger and the reactions to the new song came in quickly.
"Without words, what a big heart you have for dedicating yourself to this cause, and it’s also a great opportunity to show that you can step out of your comfort zone and break any rhythm," "Buddy, what a beautiful thing. The greats are truly great," "Very well, José, you’re doing an amazing job," "Only great artists create songs that touch the soul," commented some followers.
